May be when our children reach 35 yrs old. That could be the “cutting” age for us! They grew, we aged and we both reached the point that firm decision have to be made.
If only we could have had a crystal ball that could glimpse into the future, or a plan from the first day our child was diagnosed, if, if, if…. Truth is there is no if. Not to sound too depressing, but at this stage, we are “preparing for the end”.
Proactive parent knows it’s never too late for preparation, and there’s always more that can be better prepared for our children. This difficult question: What will happen to my child after I pass on, especially if they are special needs?
Housing, Finances, Support Team, and Work/Leisure, the list goes on. Will try to discuss another day. Anyone wants to get the conversation going?
